'Aviator' is a watercolour portrait featuring an attractive woman wearing some vintage aviator gear. Painted quite loosely with my Daniel Smith paints, I've also used some iridescent and metallic colours to add a little sparkle to the painting, taking care not to overdo it as it can become too distracting if overdone in my opinion. This effect doesn't show very well on my scan, but there is some antique gold, pale gold and a little copper in the splattered areas and in the hair.
Measuring approximately 11.75 x 15.75 inches, this painting has been mounted in white and framed in a 2cm gold leaf effect frame to a total size of about 17 x 21 inches, ready to hang.
